My philosophy in life:
"Be curious, not judgmental"
Starting out my career in 2014, I wanted a job that allowed for both creativity and the application of all of the tech skills I'd built up over my life. When I discovered web development, I immediately dove head-first into teaching myself the basics.
Fast forward to today, and I'm a seasoned developer with 10 years of experience in the industry. My main focus lately has been JavaScript development with frameworks like React and Svelte. I've worked on large scale projects for companies like AT&T, Deloitte, and FritoLay, as well as smaller applications and websites for non-profits and startups.
When I'm not coding, I'm usually reading, writing fantasy novels, building Gundam model kits or hanging out with my wife and 4 dogs.
Experience
2020 — 2024 Led development team in delivery of ongoing website and application projects. Designed, implemented, and maintained web pages and apps with various technologies. Developed best practices and standards for code and ensured adherence to those standards. Mentored junior developers and ran code reviews.

Feb — Sep 2022 Concepted, designed and developed features for a novel writing application built with SvelteJS. Designed features in Figma for the development team, and helped implement those features. Wore multiple hats and participated in every step of the creative process from ideation to design to code implementation.

2019 — 2020 Worked closely with a design and dev team to build PWAs and websites in React for clients such as the Georgia Aquarium, ParkMobile, and S&T Bank. Designed and implemented a custom solution utilizing headless Wordpress and React.js with Apollo and GraphQL. Led various web projects and helped to develop coding standards and best practices, leading to more scalable and manageable code bases.

Georgia Aquarium App
Worked with cross-functional teams to develop a native app for the Georgia Aquarium using React Native. Utilized many advanced technologies to provide features such as an interactive map that tells the user where they are based on lighthouse locations and phone coordinates, as well as various other aquarium specific features.
